Coming to an End
I was excited that finally, we were in the 4th quarter, eagerly anticipating the challenges and knowledge that awaited me. However, as soon as it began, my excitement quickly turned into stress and anxiety. The demands of the coursework, assignments, and exams seemed overwhelming at times. But now, as the quarter draws to a close, I find solace in the fact that it is about to end. Join me as I share my experiences in this quarter.
This quarter has been a rollercoaster of emotions, with stress and happiness intertwined throughout. The workload has been intense, with quizzes and activities almost every day. On top of that, we are constantly bombarded with assignments to complete outside of class. It feels like there is always something due or a test looming on the horizon.
This week, we had to face the pressure of a diagnostic test, which added to the mounting stress. It was a challenge to balance studying for the test while keeping up with the regular coursework. And as soon as the diagnostic test was over, we had to start preparing for the upcoming summative assessment next week. It feels like there is no time to breathe or catch a break.
Adding to the already overwhelming workload, there is a thematic that needs to be submitted by Friday. It's another task that requires time and effort, and the deadline is fast approaching. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and wonder if there will ever be a moment of respite.
Despite the stress and constant busyness, there is a silver lining that brings me happiness in this quarter. I am fortunate to have supportive classmates who are always ready to help. Whenever I struggle to understand a lesson, they are patient and willing to teach me until I grasp the concept. They make sure I don't miss anything important and fill me in on what I may have overlooked.
One of the best things is that we are in this together. We are all facing the same challenges, and we haven't had enough time to review or finish everything that needs to be passed on. It's reassuring to know that I am not alone in this struggle. We support and encourage each other, which eases the burden and reduces the stress.
While I may have limited time to rest, I must admit that I often choose to spend that time on my phone, scrolling through TikTok or engaging in other distractions. It's a personal choice that contributes to the feeling of busyness, but it's also a reminder that I need to manage my time more effectively and prioritize my responsibilities.
In conclusion, the 4th academic quarter has been a whirlwind of stress and happiness. The relentless schedule, with quizzes, activities, assignments, and impending assessments, has left little time for rest. However, the support and assistance of my classmates have been a constant source of relief. Their willingness to guide and teach me, even without proper review or completion of tasks, has fostered an environment of shared learning and understanding. While the workload may remain challenging, the presence of supportive peers has made the journey more manageable.
