Coming to an End

Coming to an End

I was excited that finally, we were in the 4th quarter, eagerly anticipating the challenges and knowledge that awaited me. However, as soon as it began, my excitement quickly turned into stress and anxiety. The demands of the coursework, assignments, and exams seemed overwhelming at times. But now, as the quarter draws to a close, I find solace in the fact that it is about to end. Join me as I share my experiences in this quarter.

This quarter has been a rollercoaster of emotions, with stress and happiness intertwined throughout. The workload has been intense, with quizzes and activities almost every day. On top of that, we are constantly bombarded with assignments to complete outside of class. It feels like there is always something due or a test looming on the horizon.

This week, we had to face the pressure of a diagnostic test, which added to the mounting stress. It was a challenge to balance studying for the test while keeping up with the regular coursework. And as soon as the diagnostic test was over, we had to start preparing for the upcoming summative assessment next week. It feels like there is no time to breathe or catch a break.

Adding to the already overwhelming workload, there is a thematic that needs to be submitted by Friday. It's another task that requires time and effort, and the deadline is fast approaching. It's easy to feel overwhelmed and wonder if there will ever be a moment of respite.

Despite the stress and constant busyness, there is a silver lining that brings me happiness in this quarter. I am fortunate to have supportive classmates who are always ready to help. Whenever I struggle to understand a lesson, they are patient and willing to teach me until I grasp the concept. They make sure I don't miss anything important and fill me in on what I may have overlooked.

One of the best things is that we are in this together. We are all facing the same challenges, and we haven't had enough time to review or finish everything that needs to be passed on. It's reassuring to know that I am not alone in this struggle. We support and encourage each other, which eases the burden and reduces the stress.

While I may have limited time to rest, I must admit that I often choose to spend that time on my phone, scrolling through TikTok or engaging in other distractions. It's a personal choice that contributes to the feeling of busyness, but it's also a reminder that I need to manage my time more effectively and prioritize my responsibilities.

In conclusion, the 4th academic quarter has been a whirlwind of stress and happiness. The relentless schedule, with quizzes, activities, assignments, and impending assessments, has left little time for rest. However, the support and assistance of my classmates have been a constant source of relief. Their willingness to guide and teach me, even without proper review or completion of tasks, has fostered an environment of shared learning and understanding. While the workload may remain challenging, the presence of supportive peers has made the journey more manageable.

"Unveiling My Future Self: A Glimpse into My Life a Decade from Now"

"Unveiling My Future Self: A Glimpse into My Life a Decade from Now"

Dreams are the fuel that ignites the fire within us, propelling us to pursue our passions and aspirations. Dreams possess the power to inspire, intrigue, and even provide insight into our deepest desires and fears. They are a mysterious and enigmatic aspect of human existence that continues to captivate and provoke contemplation. As I contemplate my dreams and envision the path ahead, I am filled with excitement and determination. And wondered what will I become after 10 years.

As a 16-year-old standing on the threshold of adulthood, the future holds a world of possibilities and opportunities. It is an exciting and transformative time in my life, filled with dreams, ambitions, and the desire to shape my destiny. When I imagine myself a decade from now, at the age of 26, I see a person who has undergone significant growth and achieved personal milestones.

I envision myself as a well-educated and accomplished individual. Ten years from now, I see myself having pursued higher education and obtained a degree in a field that I am passionate about. I envision myself dedicated to learning and expanding my knowledge. Education will serve as a foundation for my future endeavors and provide me with the necessary skills to succeed in my chosen career path.

Speaking of my career, I hope to have found my passion and purpose by then. While it is perfectly normal to explore different paths and change directions along the way, I envision myself engaged in a profession that aligns with my interests and values. I want to feel fulfilled and motivated by the work I do. I aim to find a career that allows me to make a positive impact on the world and contribute to something greater than myself.

In conclusion, in the next ten years, I aspire to be the best version of myself—a person who has grown intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. I will be a person who radiates positivity, embraces change, and seeks continuous improvement. While the specific details of my future may remain uncertain, I am confident that the principles and values that guide me today will continue to shape my journey ahead. I must remain adaptable, open to new opportunities, and dedicated to continuous learning. With determination, resilience, and a commitment to personal growth, I look forward to the individual I will become and the impact I will make in the world around me.

"Change, It starts with Me"

"Change, It starts with Me"

Change is an inevitable part of life. Change is something that we all strive for,  but it can be a challenge to keep up with the constant changes, but embracing change is essential to personal and professional growth. Change is a process that requires effort from all of us. It starts with a thought, then an action, and eventually leads to transformation. With this in mind, let's remember that it starts with each one of us - "Change, it starts with me".

At the heart of "Change, it starts with me" lies the essence of personal responsibility. This phrase emphasizes the idea that we are all agents of change, and that each one of us has the power to make a difference. It urges individuals to recognize their role in shaping the world they want to live in. By acknowledging that change begins within, one is compelled to reflect on their actions, attitudes, and behaviors. This self-awareness prompts individuals to take ownership of their choices and embrace the power they possess to effect positive change.

"Change, it starts with me" is also a call to empowerment. It reminds individuals that they possess the ability to make a difference, irrespective of their background, circumstances, or resources. It encourages a shift in mindset, urging individuals to believe in their own capacity to effect change. This empowerment stems from the understanding that every action, no matter how small, contributes to the collective progress. By embracing their agency, individuals are emboldened to step forward, take initiative, and actively participate in the process of positive transformation.

Change starts with each of us, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. Every single action we take can have an impact on the world around us. We can start to make a difference by changing our mindset and recognizing that we are all connected. When we make the effort to be more mindful and compassionate, it will not only benefit those around us but also ourselves. By taking responsibility for our own actions, we can create positive change in the world. It starts with each of us, and it starts today!

A Day for Superheroes: Happy Mother's Day!

A Day for Superheroes: Happy Mother's Day!

Every year on the second Sunday in May, Mother's Day is observed. This year, it takes place on May 14. This annual celebration offers a unique chance to show thanks, fortify relationships, and recognize the tremendous effect of mothers and mother figures. On this day, children traditionally honor their mothers by pampering them with gorgeous gifts, assisting them with housework, or organizing the day around things their mothers like. Couples also lavish their partners with presents and compliments for everything they do to keep their lives harmonious.

So what does it mean to celebrate Mother's Day?

Mother's Day acts as a poignant reminder to show our mothers how much we appreciate them. It is a day to consider the selfless love, concern, and sacrifices they have bestowed upon us all of our lives. We express our gratitude for their unwavering support, direction, and unending devotion by marking this day. The tie between mothers and their children is strengthened by this display of thanks, fostering a closer bond that transcends space and time.

The importance of Mother's Day celebrations in fostering stronger family ties cannot be overstated. It promotes open communication, cultivates a sense of community, and emphasizes the value of family values. We reinforce our love and respect for our mothers through heartfelt actions like spending quality time with them or giving them nice presents. These shared experiences provide priceless memories that serve as the cornerstone for more solid bonds and a lasting feeling of community.

Mother's Day also honors all mother figures who have had an impact on us throughout our lives, not only our biological mothers. This day honors those who have played nurturing roles, whether they be a grandmother, stepmother, aunt, sister, or close friend. It serves as a reminder that motherhood transcends biological connections and that these extraordinary women's impact and leadership merit respect and gratitude.

The importance of Mother's Day rests in the chance it offers to recognize and value mothers' unselfish love, commitment, and sacrifices. Mother's Day honors the wonderful mothers who have shaped our lives and serves as a reminder to always value their love and support. But keep in mind that we ought to tell them we love and appreciate them every day, not just on Mother's Day. We are unable to provide them anything in exchange for their gift, but we can express our gratitude and treat them with respect and care. Keep in mind that mothers are priceless gifts from God that we should cherish and care for.

Paying tribute to the diligent workers

Paying tribute to the diligent workers

Labor Day is not just another annual public holiday observed by the Filipino people. It symbolizes the arduous battles waged by labor unions and professional organizations to demand better working conditions and employees' rights.

The first celebration of Labor Day took place in the late 19th century, a time of tremendous industrialization and the emergence of the labor movement. Poor working conditions, long hours, little pay, and insufficient workplace safety precautions were commonplace. Labor unions developed in reaction, arguing for better working conditions, just pay, and workers' rights.

Labor Day has added relevance in today's fast-paced society, where stress and burnout at work are common. It serves as a reminder of the value of work-life balance and the necessity of placing a high priority on employees' well-being. People can reenergize, spend quality time with loved ones, partake in leisure activities, and restore their physical and mental energies by taking a break from work. Labor Day is a reminder to both businesses and employees of the need of preserving a healthy balance between work and personal life.

Labor Day helps workers feel united and in sympathy with one another. It gives employees from all fields, social classes, and backgrounds a chance to join together and celebrate their common successes and struggles. Labor Day promotes worker togetherness and raises awareness of the group's capacity to create positive social change through parades, picnics, and community events. It promotes communication and teamwork, laying the groundwork for ongoing advancement and labor rights activism.

In conclusion, the commemoration of Labor Day is extremely important for celebrating the efforts of workers, appreciating past accomplishments, and encouraging continued advocacy for workers' rights. It serves as a timely reminder of the value of fair treatment, competitive pay, and secure working circumstances. Let's commemorate Labor Day by reinforcing our commitment to advancing workers' rights and well-being in the present and the future as well as celebrating past achievements.

Journey to self-discovery: Reflecting on personal growth and development

"Journey to self-discovery: Reflecting on personal growth and development"

The 4th quarter is waving. We will soon graduate! I can't wait to start the fourth quarter, but let me first talk about this one.

The third quarter is jam-packed with writing, dancing, quizzing, and reporting. We report on practically all of our subjects, and we have quizzes almost daily. In PE, we perform a hip-hop dance for the two subjects for which we conduct research, although the English writing is the worst. With this, I can say with confidence that I won't forget this quarter because we nearly stayed up all night to complete the duties assigned to us. On the weekends, which are supposed to be leisure days, we used them to conduct research and practice hip-hop dance. By the time the day was over, we were supposed to be relaxing, but instead, we reviewed for quizzes the following day. Writing, maybe for some of my classmates is not a problem, but for me, it's a problem. Because I struggle with English, the thought of having to write an argumentative essay or anything else in the language gives me the greatest nightmares. Yes, it was exhausting, but I enjoyed it because of my supportive classmates and teachers.

The third quarter could be difficult for me because of the higher academic obligations and expectations. But it's also a time for growth and development as I expand on the knowledge and abilities I've acquired so far this year.

Overall, the third quarter in school can be a critical time for us—students, as we work to build on our skills and knowledge and prepare for the end of the academic year. It can also be a time of increased stress and pressure, but with the right support and guidance, we can succeed and thrive.

Lenten Week: A Time of Reflection, Sacrifice, and Spiritual Renewal

Lenten Week: A Time of Reflection, Sacrifice, and Spiritual Renewal

The season of Lent, observed in Christian traditions worldwide, is a period of 40 days of fasting, penance, and reflection leading up to Easter Sunday, which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Lenten week, also known as Holy Week, is a significant period of observance for Christians around the world. It is the week leading up to Easter, commemorating the final week of Jesus Christ's life, his crucifixion, and resurrection. This solemn time is marked by various religious practices, reflections, and acts of penance, as believers seek to draw closer to God and meditate on the sacrifice of Jesus. The observance of Lenten week holds deep spiritual significance and is a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal for Christians.

Lenten Week begins with Palm Sunday, which commemorates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, when crowds laid palm branches in his path as a symbol of honor and celebration. It is a time for Christians to reflect on the humility and servanthood of Jesus, who came not as a conquering king, but as a humble servant, riding on a donkey.

Maundy Thursday commemorates the Last Supper, when Jesus shared a final meal with his disciples and instituted the sacrament of Holy Communion. It is a time for Christians to reflect on Jesus' selfless act of washing his disciples' feet, demonstrating humility and love, and his commandment to love one another as he loved them.

Good Friday, the most solemn day of the Christian calendar, commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and his death on the cross. It is a day of deep reflection on the sacrifice of Jesus, who willingly suffered and died for the sins of humanity, according to Christian belief. Many Christians participate in somber liturgies, fasting, and abstaining from meat as an act of penance and reverence for Jesus' sacrifice.

Holy Saturday, also known as Black Saturday, is a day of vigil and waiting, as Christians reflect on the period between Jesus' death and resurrection. It is a time to contemplate the darkness and uncertainty that Jesus' disciples experienced during this time, and to anticipate the coming celebration of Easter Sunday.

Finally, Lenten Week culminates with Easter Sunday, the joyous celebration of Jesus' resurrection from the dead, symbolizing victory over sin and death. It is a day of hope, renewal, and rejoicing, as Christians celebrate the central event of their faith and the promise of eternal life.

The observance of Lenten Week holds great significance for Christians around the world, as it is a time of reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal. During this week, Christians engage in various practices to deepen their faith and draw closer to God. Fasting, abstaining from meat, and other acts of self-denial are common practices during Lenten Week, as they serve as reminders of Jesus' sacrifice and help Christians focus on their relationship with God.

Lenten Week is also a time for Christians to reflect on their own lives, examine their hearts, and seek repentance for their sins. Many Christians participate in confession, penance, and acts of charity as a way of purifying their souls and growing in holiness. It is a time for self-examination and repentance, as Christians strive to align their lives with the teachings and example of Jesus.
